| Name: | Foaly |
|---|
Character Description:
The People have been using advanced technology since humans were grunting over mud pits, and Foaly is currently at the top of the game. He is the technological genius behind an immense portion of current fairy technology, and works as a consuntant for the Lower Elements Police (LEP) in Haven, one of the largest fairy cities in the world which happens to be located under Ireland.
Centaurs have no inherent magical abilities but Foaly does share the People's gift of tongues. He can understand and speak any language spoken to him. To anyone who isn't Irish, he sounds like he has an Irish accent. Irish characters will hear an accent that sounds like a combination of... well... just about every other accent in existence.
Foaly is extremely narcissistic and proud. He has a crush on an Elf named Holly Short who works for LEPrecon, but that doesn't stop him from being a fairly indiscriminate flirt. He watches far too much television, he likes Star Trek and western films, and tends to talk like a Hollywood bigshot. He loves to tease and torment people, but it's all a game to him and he will go to extreme lengths to help a friend in need. He is secretly a bit of a romantic.
Physical Description:
Foaly is a member of the classification of fairy people known as a centaur. In his world, the People were forced underground many generations ago by the unstoppable worldwide invasion of 'Mud Men' (humanity), so unlike traditional or other-world centaurs, Foaly is only three feet tall and proud of his height (centaurs are among the tallest of all fairies). He is (naturally) hairy. He wears a belt with all sorts of pouches and gadgets clipped to it. He sometimes wears a shirt or jacket with storage pockets, or carries a briefcase or satchel. He also wears a hat made of tinfoil to protect against mind-reading rays.
The horse part of Foaly's anatomy resembles a creamy-yellow draft horse. His feathers (the long tufts of fur on his lower legs) are white. His tail and ample mane of hair are a nondescript dark-brownish-almost-bloack shade at the roots which lightens into a color whose closest equivalent in a box of crayons would probably be brick red. His skin is pale but the hair on his chest and arms is the same near-black as his mane. His arm hair thickens and shortens into dark fur that covers the back of his hands. He has two small horns protruding from his temples. His mane hangs half way down his back and is usually tied in several places with ribbons.
Foaly also occasionally carries around a Wiggedy-pole. This is a piece of castoff copper pipe. That is all. It is not remotely magical or technologically advanced. He pokes people with it.
